ffirmations are vibrational alignments
packaged under a
different name… perhaps
intended to cast it in more simplistic terms. However,
the unintended effect has
sown confusion with the mistaken notion that
affirmations are all about
repeating some choice sequence of words that express a
positive affirming
sentiment or listening on a loop to someone else
uttering similarly affirming
positive sentiments or teachings. Contrary to this myth,
you are constantly
self-affirming all the time without ever uttering a
single line of so-called
affirmations, whether or not you want to!
Every feeling that drifts into your stream of
consciousness, every sentiment
that you willingly receive into your lived experience,
that solidifies into
recognisable emotion – recognisably labelled as
positive, negative, neutral -
carries the weight and value of their corresponding
vibrational energies.
This is what you are transmitting into the universe as
vibrational signals which
will serve to “affirm” those underlying
emotion-generated values. In other
words, these vibrational signals amplify the frequencies
within the bandwidth
within which you have consciously or sub-consciously
chosen to situate your
vibrational state of being. Thus, your current state of
being works like a
transceiver, ceaselessly transmitting and receiving on
your chosen operating
frequencies.
Thus, the conscious practice of self-affirmation is akin
to self-administering
doses of vibrational energy that is aligned in terms of
frequency with the
vibrational state of being you desire. The pathway to
sustained vibrational
alignment is one paved with rather deliberate and
mindful shifts. How you shift
from current state to desired state, using whatever
method and means, form and
frequency is entirely up to you - the one and only
proviso being to actually
achieve and sustain the vibrational shifts.
In following this path, you become a nonjudgemental
observer of your own state
of being, constantly taking stock of the entire
continuum of feelings, emotional
phases that typically form your overall response to
life’s circumstances. The
objective here is not to categorise these emotional
responses with labels, but
rather to recognise the weight and value of their
associated vibrational
energies so as to assess whether or not they are aligned
with the desired state,
and then to make necessary adjustments. For example, if
you desire a joyful and
healthy relationship with a supportive partner but are
constantly wallowing in
the misery of past failed relationships, you are
actually broadcasting amplified
signals that are misaligned with the former and on track
to attract more of the
latter.
Similarly, if what you seek is abundance in
terms of wealth, career
success and the like, dwelling on your lack or losses,
feeling like a victim or
envying the abundance of others will only block you out
of the frequency domain
you want to tune in to. Instead, try first getting to a
neutral vibrational
state by evoking feelings of genuine gratitude, for all
that you do have, for
being better off than others in many respects, even for
being alive. This will
help prepare the ground for shifting to higher
frequencies by focusing attention
on generating positive responses through deliberate
actions including believing
in yourself, believing in the imminence of and preparing
to receive and optimise
the manifestation of abundance in whatever form it
arrives.
Making the necessary shift towards vibrational alignment
will require a
fundamental recalibration of your outlook and core
belief system, from a “I’ll
believe it when I see it” to a “I see that I could
believe in it” paradigm. When
your emotional responses are vibrationally entrained to
always reflect an
unflinching belief in your ability to attract and
receive that which you desire
regardless of the interim surrounding circumstances, you
will have opened the
floodgates allowing these to eventually flow into your
experienced reality.
